Funny... there was a man who messed with my shades before but no one has ever messed with my hair.

— Gun Park, Ep. 243

Gun Park (박종건 Park Jong Geon) is a major character in Lookism. He is a fighter of legendary status and the personal bodyguard of the HNH Chairman's daughter, Crystal Choi. He is also one of the "10 Geniuses" raised by Charles Choi and one of the three children trained by Tom Lee.

Ryu Seung-gone voices Gun in the Lookism animated series. Kento Itō voices Gun in the Japanese Lookism mobile game.

Appearance[]

Gun is a very tall and lean-yet-muscular young man who is always dressed well, usually donning colors of dark fashion and designer brands. His hair is shaved on the sides but long on top, and has always been seen with it slicked back.

Gun Cardboard Smaller Version

He is usually seen wearing full-rimmed glasses to hide the scar stretching between his eyes. Gun's facial appearance changes drastically when he takes off his glasses. He has many scars across his body, and tattoos on his arms. On his chest is a long, horizontal scar given by Eli Jang.[5]He also has a scar given by Jerry Kwon.[6]

Gun's most distinguishing trait is his pitch black eyes with white irises, a result of him being constantly in the state of Ultra Instinct.

Personality []

Gun is usually seen as a highly composed individual who is quite dedicated to his job as a bodyguard. He maintains a stern-looking expression on his face that exhibits a smile only when amused, usually by someone's fighting potential. This was most likely picked up from Tom Lee, who raised/trained him throughout his childhood, like his partner and rival Goo Kim, he is merciless when agitated and fighting—as seen during his fight with Jake. Gun stated he would knock out all of Jake's teeth, which he indeed ending up doing without much trouble. Unlike Goo Kim, Gun will remove his glasses when he's about to exhibit his demonic side, causing many to refer to him as a 'Monster'.

Gun is stated to be a "pervert" with whom gender is of no concern for his attraction by Goo. The nebulous nature of Goo's statement could refer to literal sexual attraction or a more idiosyncratic "attraction" to strong fighters. This would be substantiated by Gun's constant seeking of a successor which would explain his "attraction" to strong people regardless of gender.

Educational ability[]

Gun Park - He is not only incredibly strong, but also an excellent coach and teacher, because the speed and effectiveness of his teaching other people is very high. Gun Park trained Eli Jang, Olly Wang, and Daniel Park to fully reveal the talent of each and each of them was incredibly strong, which was able to fight or defeat the leaders of the Four Major Crews, given that each of them became one of the strongest members of the 2nd Generation.

Fighting Prowess[]

Gun has shown consistently to be one of the strongest characters in the series, and in the entire PTJ verse. He has a mixed fighting style with complete mastery of Kyokushin karate, high proficiency in Aikido, and Capoeira as shown when Olly identified one of Johan Seong's copied moves from Gun,[7] his fight with Goo Kim[8] and his Brazilian kick.[9] He is also shown to be proficient enough in weapons to fight using tonfas[10] and to teach Eli Jang how to use stun batons.

Gun has also displayed formidable physical capabilities with him being able to stagger Vasco with a punch, fast enough to avoid hits from Zack Lee and durable enough to withstand a couple of hits from Eli Jang and come out of it only being slightly annoyed. He has shown to be so skilled that he defeated Johan Seong easily[11] and defeat all of the original Hostel B when he stopped holding back[12] which included strong fighters like Warren Chae, Eli Jang and Max, and Derek. He also was able to defeat Jake,[13] the head of Big Deal and train many fighters.

He is also seen completely defeating hundreds of experienced and weaponized criminals included members of organised crime when he was only 16-years old, alongside Goo Kim.[10] Even though he claims he's not familiar with weapons, he still shows to be very proficient in them, using Goo's ski sticks as batons (most likely Gun's statement of not being proficient as weapons is only in comparison to Goo who is a weapons expert).

It is a later confirmed that Gun is also in the Ultra Instinct state though maintaining said state whilst retaining his control and personality.[14]

A recent display of Gun's combat prowess, was him able to defeat strongest members of the Workers that includes Yuseong, Mandeok Bang, Eli Jang, Warren Chae, and Ryuhei Kuroda with little to no effort. He has also been confirmed (stated by himself) to be stronger than the 1st Generation Kings.

Its strike force is located at the large building level, higher than the first generation kings and higher than the second generation and has one of the greatest AP and DC of the entire PTJ Univers.

  • In chapter 385, when Gun is introduced by Megami Kenta's father. It is seen that Gun's eyes are normal, meaning that at that time he did not know Ultra Instinct or he had not yet mastered it. In those days he was not known as the white ghost.
