Johan's mother is a single mother who lives in a poor neighborhood. Her husband died while her son was very young. Johan's mother is extremely religious and is often seen doing charity work in her community. Zack described her as an angel when he was younger.
After some time Johan's mother began to lose her vision. She consulted her local pastor for advice and he manipulated her into joining a cult. Johan's mother began using drugs and slowly lost her mind. She was saved by Johan and his friends and taken to a drug rehabilitation center. However, in the time that she was there her son decided to abandon her to earn money for her treatment.
Johan's mother continues to look for her son, and hands visitors to her store flyers. Her son still visits her and supports her financially, but she is unaware of this.

Zack visits her at a drug rehabilitation center. She tells him that her hearing has gotten much better now that she couldn't see. She cries as she tells Zack to tell Johan that she was fine living alone, but she wanted to hear his voice. Zack promises to bring Johan to her.[1]
